Main Street is my company. I have created it so that I can become more involved in my local business community and bring value to the very businesses that provide more jobs and opportunity than any multi-billion dollar company can.
Who am I? I’m Daniel P. McCarthy. I relocated to the Denver area a few years ago to marry my lovely wife Yolanda and be a father to her two boys; Isaac & Savignon. I moved from the New York Metropolitan area after working in the world of Finance for 7 years and began working in the Healthcare industry when I got here. Now, after working for large companies since 1998 I am looking to bring my experience to those who I believe deserve it most… the small and medium sized businesses that keep this country afloat. From 1987 to 1998 I worked for a series of companies that had no more than 50 employees. I miss those days. Nobody could say “it’s not my job” because in a small business you need to be willing, much less able, to try to do anything. That spirit has been crushed in corporate America. I’ve seen so many smart, creative people whither. It’s just not where I want to spend my time anymore.
So how am I going to do this? The simple answer is that it’s going to be slow & steady. I need to immerse myself in the local economy, in the local business community first. I need to understand what the needs of the community are and how I can provide them with the most value for their hard earned dollar. To me the key will always be value. Ad if my potential customers can see the value without me saying a word, then I’ll know I’ve put in the time and committed myself this community. Until then, I have a lot of work in front of me.
